Initial installation and trial
In Visual Studio 2019 or 2022, select Tools > Extensions and Updates. In the Visual Studio Marketplace area (left) search for XamRight, as shown, and click Install:
When Visual Studio restarts, your 30 day free trial starts. You will be informed when your trial is about to expire. You can purchase a subscription at https://criticalhittech.onfastspring.com and a license key will be emailed to you.
Activating a license
To activate your license, select the Tools > Options menu. The following dialog will pop up. Select XamRight > Licensing and enter your email address and license key, and select a password. The email address and password that you select help secure your license key.
Your email address can be used to recover your lost license key(s), and your key and password can be used to log into https://www.softworkz.com/myLicense/ where you can manage and recover a lost license key.
Network use
Please note: XamRight will use the network for the following purposes:
- Validate licenses with the license server
- Crash reporting
- Anonymized telemetry reporting
